I was fortunate enough to hunt with TJ Debruin of Nyaka Safaris with a group of my long time clients and friends last year for cape buffalo in the Selous. If you have never experienced Tanzania, you owe it to yourself to hunt Africa as it should be hunted. A little more expensive than some of the other safari countries, Tanzania does offer true tented safaris in some of the most remote areas in Africa. Elephants abound as do huge herds of buffalo. Lions are plentiful and are regularly encountered during the day. A charter plane is required to access the area. Once you arrive at the dirt landstrip, the sights and sounds of the dark continent come alive. TJ's areas in South Africa are as well remarkable. Just outside Pretoria, you will hunt large concessions for most any of South Africas numerous plains-game species. Nyakas camps are superb. Everything is taken care of for you while in camp. The staff is second to none. You will leave with great memories and a yearn to get back to Africa soon.
